as personal as they are extraordinary.
Director of Operations
and Corporate Accounts
Kent Fowler serves as Director of Operations for Filling the Nest, ensuring that every thoughtfully designed journey unfolds with precision and ease. Known for his calm presence and meticulous attention to logistics, he is the person quietly making sure everything works exactly as it should — often before anyone realizes it needs attention.
Over years of travel and behind-the-scenes problem solving, Kent has earned both deep trust and the affectionate nickname “#PoorKent,” a testament to his willingness to carry, fix, coordinate, or handle whatever the moment requires. His steady approach allows others to focus on the experience itself, confident that every practical detail is already in capable hands.
When not coordinating travel, he is happiest relaxing on the water — any water — with a glass of red — any red — and nowhere urgent to be. That appreciation for unhurried moments shapes his philosophy: the best journeys feel seamless, restorative, and deeply enjoyable from beginning to end.
Before joining Filling the Nest, I spent years in software development and later as a sales and marketing director for a global technology firm — a path that took me across Asia, Europe, and South America long before travel became part of daily life.
Because those trips were rooted in real business relationships, I was rarely navigating alone. Local colleagues became unofficial guides, introducing me not just to landmarks but to neighborhoods, favorite restaurants, and sometimes even their homes. Those experiences showed me that the most memorable moments rarely come from a checklist — they happen over shared meals, unplanned conversations, and the everyday rhythms of a place.
While I always enjoyed seeing new places, those early journeys also shaped a deeper appreciation for travel as a way to understand how people live and connect across cultures.
That perspective still guides how I approach every journey I plan today: not as something to rush through, but as an opportunity to experience a destination in a way that feels authentic, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable.
Cruising offers a simple advantage:
you unpack once and let the journey come to you. Each day brings a new destination,
but your room, routine,
and sense of ease remain the same.
It’s a comfortable way to see a lot of the world without feeling rushed or constantly in transit.
My favorite destination is usually the one I haven’t seen yet. I’ve been fortunate to travel to many incredible places, but the pull of something new is hard to ignore. Exploring unfamiliar landscapes and tasting local cuisine for the first time is still what excites me most about travel
Whenever possible, I skip the obvious spots and look for where locals actually eat. Friends’ recommendations are gold, and when those aren’t available, a good food tour can quickly reveal the flavors and neighborhoods that make a place unique.
I’m generally willing to try just about anything once. Some things become lasting favorites,
others simply make for a good story,
but all of them add something to the experience. Travel has a way of rewarding curiosity,
especially when you don’t overthink it.

begins with understanding what matters most to you —
your pace, your priorities,
and the experiences you’re ready to explore next.
