The Four Seasons Orlando has also been named the #1 Best Hotel in Orlando by U.S. News & World Report – for the eleventh year in a row – so in terms of Orlando lodging . . . it’s kind of a big deal.

Minimal, not simple.
Quite a few years ago, my daughter joined me for a chance to explore this big deal. My first visit and her second, neither of us knowing at the time that she’d fall so in love with the property that she’d end up working in the Spa one day!
She summarized her first impression of the resort which is hidden behind the gates of the exclusive GOLDEN OAK neighborhood on Disney property . . .
It’s minimal, not simple.
Understatement of the year. It’s far from minimal OR simple. But I knew what she meant.
It’s perfect.
It’s not overdone or showy, it’s not over-the-top decorated or themed. And it’s not overrun with people.
This AAA Five Diamond Resort is a lakeside retreat complete with gardens, and walking paths spotted between private poolside cabanas, world-class dining, and a Tom Fazio designed 18-hole golf course which is also a Certified Audubon Santcuary.
The Spanish Revival architecture blends seamlessly with the Florida landscape allowing you to truly connect with nature. I can assure you the birds you hear and the deer and multitude of other creatures you see are not Disney animatronics.

It is impossible not to relax here.
And all these years later, it is still my happy place.

Accommodations…
From the Park View room to the Royal and Presidential Suites, most rooms and suites feature a private balcony that looks onto the parks, lake, golf course, or scenic Golden Oak community.

Dining…
Two words….fried naan. On several occasions, we’ve had five star service for lunch at PLANCHA, the resort’s lakeside restaurant inside the Clubhouse, and were told the Fried Naan and guacamole appetizer were a must have, and now I’m telling you….You’re welcome.
Plancha is only one of FOUR full service dining options, the signature showcase being CAPA where, in case your luxurious accommodations are not equipped with fireworks view, you can still enjoy the nightly spectacular on one of two outdoor terraces.

There are also inviting lounges (including a new “secret” speakeasy EPILOGUE,) an ice cream parlor/coffee shop, and an interactive kitchen where you can take a cooking class or host a private dinner.
Amenities . . .
Adults only will find peace and sanctuary in THE OASIS while children of all ages can enjoy the Lazy River or Explorer Island.
Speaking of children, sure, it’s Disney…you should be with them 24/7 or…

and savor some adult time while the kiddos are living their best lives and refusing to leave KIDS FOR ALL SEASONS, the kids’ club so fabulous you’ll beg to be in there, too!
Looking to tee off? In addition to the secluded Tranquilo Golf Course, there is a 16 acre practice facility with course-like target greens.
