With an impressive travel resume spanning continents, Carrie is known for her enthusiasm, deep destination knowledge, and genuine passion for helping others experience the world in meaningful ways. Her love of guided luxury travel led her to become a Tauck Specialist, having traveled on ten Tauck journeys and counting. In true Carrie fashion, she is often researching and planning her next adventure while still enjoying the one she's on.
A proud New Orleanian and devoted foodie, Carrie believes some of the best travel memories are made around a table. From intimate meals with local families to celebrated fine dining experiences, she sees food as one of the most authentic ways to connect with a destination and its culture.
When she's not seeking out remarkable restaurants, you'll likely find her discovering a rooftop bar with a spectacular view, glass of wine in hand, taking in a city from above. Equally drawn to vibrant urban centers and breathtaking natural landscapes, her favorite memories range from snorkeling alongside marine iguanas in the Galápagos and feeding hummingbirds in Costa Rica to watching leopards on safari in Kenya.
Carrie approaches travel with a simple philosophy: make the most of every destination, stay organized, embrace the journey, and never stop being curious about what lies around the next corner.
My husband owns a bar in New Orleans,
so it is no surprise that I love a great cocktail!
I especially love a fantastic rooftop bar when traveling. Being able to enjoy a bird’s eye view
of a city and a great glass of vino at the same time
is totally my style!
I personally love a good mix of nature and city.
For nature: Lake Moraine, Canada - just breath-taking!
The Galapagos Islands were incredible, too!
City wise: New York City, Paris,
Florence and Budapest!
Be organized and have a clear itinerary.
Maximize whatever the destination has to offer,
take it all in, while leaving a little wiggle
room for rest and relaxation.
That being said, keep in mind:
it’s not only about the destination, it’s about the journey.
An “off” travel day is better than a day at work-ha!
I cannot pick only one favorite travel memory
but here are a few: snorkeling in the Galapagos
islands watching the marine iguanas
feed from the bottom of the ocean floor,
feeding toucans and hummingbirds in Costa Rica,
on safari in Kenya observing handsome brother leopards…Cleary, I am an animal lover!
