I know, I know . . . enough with the bird idioms already. But how can I resist milking my surname on a site titled “Filling the Nest”? So if you’ll indulge me one of my favorite pastimes, I’ll be happy to share all my other FOWL-ER FAVORITES with you here.
Now that I’m making a list, I realize there are a lot of things that bring me joy. Not just materialistic splurges . . . I like places and experiences, hobbies and habits, foods and of course cocktails, and dare I say it . . .
I even like people.

Let’s just start here, I shop. A lot. And much of it falls in the clothing/accessory category. Usually my purchases are driven by my next great adventure – so in my mind, totally justified – but my travel wardrobe isn’t the most practical. In fact I’ve dubbed a lot of what I buy “impractically perfect” but joyful splurges nonetheless.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER | Who’s invited to my table
I am frustrated by many, but fascinated by most. I think life is too short to dwell on the stupid we cannot fix at the expense of celebrating the joy that is all around us. For a while now I’ve envisioned a “table” . . . a fantasy dinner party where random greatness intermingles. Part HEN PARTY, part ROOSTER ROOST . . . and a whole lot of awesome . . . and I invite you to join me and my tablemates here.

I think the HALLMARK CHANNEL is one of the greatest inventions of our time. There, I said it. I also like BRAVO. And on occasion I pick up a book and pretend I’m Reese Witherspoon and literate. Hoping this CHICK FLICKS & MORE section is a source of entertainment and suggestions for you, as well.
